When Paul George decided to leave the Indiana Pacers, it caused a lot of commotion around the entire NBA.
At first, it had seemed that he would join his hometown Los Angeles Lakers, but that never happened. Many other teams were rumored to be suitors for him as well.
But he ended up being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he met two other superstars in Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook.
Now that he's had some time to reflect on the events and how they transpired, George seems to regret the pattern of events, per Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports.
Paul George says he regrets the way everything went down, and stressed to quit always comparing Oladipo to him.
“Let him live. Let this be his city.”

George asked to be traded from the Pacers during the offseason. He clearly wasn't happy there anymore, with the team long past its days when it went toe to toe with the Cleveland Cavaliers when they had LeBron James. There was some talk among NBA media types that those Pacers team could have made the NBA Finals.
But these types of events always have a way of seeming like bad form from the players. Other superstars handle their free agency with more professionalism.
For George, he had reached the point where he wanted something new. And when he left, it gave Victor Oladipo a chance to shine in a new situation as a member of the Thunder.
