Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook is known for not liking to talk to the media. His answers have often been often short and semi-combative, and there have been times this season where he has left media waiting to speak with him after the game, only to leave without talking.

He'll often attack a reporter if he doesn't like a question. That happened once again after Saturday's loss to the Golden State Warriors.
A reporter asked Westbrook about a sequence in which Zaza Pachulia fell on his legs, and whether or not that was intentional. Rather than respond to the question like others would, he chided the reporter's question.
Reporter: Russell, what happened on that play when Zaza fell on your leg?
Westbrook: What do you mean, ‘What happened?' What'd you think happened?
Reporter: I don't know, I couldn't see —
Westbrook: Don't lie. Don't lie. You couldn't see — you saw the instant replay four times. What happened?
Reporter: He fell on your leg.
Westbrook: Thank you. Don't ask me a dumb question you know the answer to.

Westbrook has officially become media problem. He doesn't seem to understand that reporters ask questions not for themselves, but for those that read about their favorite teams or the entire NBA. It is true that at times, media ask questions that seem obvious, but that's only because they are writing for other people who may not have watched the game.

But outside of that, Westbrook seems to just not care about creating a good relationship with the media. Other players are great at that. Westbrook seems to be one of those that is deciding he will do and say what he wants.
That is a shame because Westbrook seems like an interesting figure. But if he doesn't let any media in at least a little bit, no one will ever know that.
