The primetime showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers certainly fit the billing. The star-studded matchup featured plenty interesting moments in what was the longest game of the 2017-18 NBA season.

Among them was this interaction between superstars Russell Westbrook and Joel Embiid following a collision with Carmelo Anthony during the final seconds of the third and final overtime via House of Highlights:

Westbrook is well-regarded as the fiercest competitor in the league and it was on display at that moment. Although Embiid was simply just trying to help Anthony up after a bit of a flop, the reigning MVP was having none of it.

That said, it is not the first time Westbrook has been prone to deny the help of opposing teams. However, his feistiness was likely attributed to the trash talk flowing from Embiid all game. He may have reached a boiling point when the versatile big managed to draw a sixth and final personal foul on Thunder center Steven Adams. In typical Embiid fashion, he made sure the crowd reminded Adams on the way to the bench.

However, Westbrook ultimately got the last laugh with a win and a spectacular triple-double. Not to mention the last word after gesturing Embiid off the court much like the latter did Adams just minutes earlier.
