Ricky Rubio was unbothered by the comments Russell Westbrook made post-Game-3, assuring that he would “shut that s**t down” next game after he was outscored by the Utah Jazz floor general.
Westbrook has been known to have a bit of a mean streak, especially when he's one-upped by another in his position, yet Rubio isn't making much of this, already expecting the question to come after today's practice.
“He made that a big deal, of course — they lost Games 2 and 3,” said Rubio ahead of a Game 4 tilt at home with the chance to go up 3-1 in the series. “Of course, they're gonna try and come ready, not just him, I think the whole team will come back ready, be physical, and we're gonna keep doing what we're doing in the last couple of games.”

Asked if this was seen as a personal challenge from one man to another, Rubio didn't think that was the case, seeing it as just another player trying to do what it takes to get a win.

“You're taking this too personal,” said Rubio. “Of course he wants to play better. I wanna play better too. That's it.”
We all know Westbrook and so does Rubio, and yes — this will be personal.
Rubio did just as good or better than Westbrook in every area on the floor, finishing with a game-high 26 points and logging a triple-double with 11 rebounds and 10 assists, throwing in two steals and a block for good measure.
Westbrook shot a measly 5-of-17 from the floor and committed eight turnovers, proving as the Oklahoma City Thunder's ultimate downfall on Saturday.
