During Gordon Hayward's return game to Utah on Friday, the Jazz wanted to send the Celtics star a message.
Whether it was intentional or not, the Jazz made a statement to start this game: their first three possessions involved Rudy Gobert setting screens for Joe Ingles — who was being guarded by Gordon Hayward. Jazz attacked him repeatedly.

It seemed like the physicality worked on the defensive end of the floor for the Jazz, as they held Hayward to only 13 points on the night.
It may have been sweet revenge for the Jazz and its fans, as they defeated the Boston Celtics 123-115.
The Jazz faithful made sure they let their feelings be known as well, as they booed him during introductions and then every time he touched the ball.
The Jazz are always a very physical defensive team, so it is no surprise to hear the physicality they put on Hayward through the first three plays of the game.

Utah, as a whole, played extremely well against Hayward and the Celtics and made key, clutch shots when they needed them.
Jazz forward Jae Crowder also got some revenge against his former team. He hit the dagger three in the closing moments of the game. He also finished with 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, one block and steal. He was one of six players in double figures.
Utah had an excellent game plan to start the game that seemed to get Hayward out of rhythm pretty early in the game. He only hit 3-of-9 from the floor.
