Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, a Michigan State University alumni, commented on the recent reports regarding the Larry Nassar and MSU scandal. Green played four seasons in Michigan State from 2009 to 2012. He then declared to the NBA Draft and was drafted with the 35th overall pick by the Warriors. Green's alma mater was accused of covering up several sexual assault incidents, headlined by the Larry Nassar case.

According to Logan Murdock from Bay Area News Group, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year said:

“I wish those affected, whether you were touched by it, broken by it, shaken by whatever he did to you. I wish them well in their recovery… It touches everyone in a specific way, whether you are a supporter, it just kills your pride or whether you are a victim and you're just going through the things you're going through so I wish them well in their road to recovery.”

Green also offered support to MSU football head coach Mike Dantonio, his former basketball coach Tom Izzo, and the victims:

“I offered my support to coach Dantonio and coach Izzo and their efforts to rebuild and to help the victims in any way that they can. You know, they say the true test of a man is what he do in a time of adversity and I know these two guys will stand up and do whatever they can to help.

So I look forward to helping in any way that I can. Those affected, supporters, and most importantly the victims. And anyway I can help, I look forward to that.”

Green stood out in MSU under coach Izzo. He averaged 16.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists per game in 33.2 minutes over 37 contests in his last college season.
