The Golden State Warriors were able to add even more quality depth to their juggernaut roster by taking power forward Jordan Bell from the Chicago Bulls after being selected in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft. It even appeared as though Bell was going to carve out a role in the defending champ's rotation early on in the 2017-18 NBA season.

However, he has since seen a significant decrease in action over the last five games. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the rookie compared the struggle for minutes to his freshman year at the University of Oregon.

“It's just the life of a rookie,” Bell said. “That's what Steve Kerr always tells me. It's not because I'm playing bad. Just gotta be professional about it and stay ready. It's like being a freshman all over again.”

It is unclear whether Jordan Bell's recent lack of playing time was due to poor performance, or just for developmental purposes. Whatever it is, it has been tough for the rookie to get back to his early-season role after being listed as a healthy inactive in four out of the Warriors' last five games.

Bell is averaging 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in just eight minutes per game this year. However, if he can learn to bounce back the way he did in college, then it may only be a matter of time before he finds a way back in the rotation.
