Injuries have hit the Golden State Warriors hard the last couple of weeks, but they could be even more short-handed in Friday night's game against the Sacramento Kings.

According to an ESPN report, Kevin Durant is listed as questionable for the game with sore ribs. He went through a full practice on Thursday but had a patch on his ribs afterward.

The Warriors will already be without Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson because of injury on Friday night, so losing Durant would really hurt them.

The only good news for the Warriors is that David West is probable for the game, and Draymond Green is also expected to play.

Since Curry went down with injury it has been Kevin Durant who has taken on the extra load of work. In Wednesday night's victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, he put up 26 points.

Durant has played 60 games so far this year averaging 26.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. He is shooting 52 percent from the field and 43 percent from deep. Although he still talks about the Warriors being Curry's team, it is closer and closer to becoming his team.

The Warriors have talked about as of late that the top seed isn't that important to them, but it is still within reach if they continue to win and the Houston Rockets fall off a bit.

If they were to lose Friday's game though, against the Kings, it would make life that much harder for the Warriors as they try to chase down the Rockets.

Coming into Thursday night's games the Warriors are sitting 1.5 games behind the Rockets.
