Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is one of the most talented basketball players in the world today, but it’s not like he needs to be reminded of that. Everyone knows that Durant is capable of torching anyone on the basketball court, including LeBron James, whom he dominated in the 2017 NBA Finals by averaging 35.2 points on 55.6 percent shooting through five games.

Durant finished his first season with the Warriors as a champion and a Finals MVP so it shouldn’t come as a surprise why he told Mark Medina of the Mercury News that his “swag level is through the roof.”

“Mentally when you feel like you’ve mastered the game from an individual standpoint, knowing what you want to do, that’s a great feeling,” Durant said. “I’ve hit the point where you know what’s important there on the basketball court.”

It’s a scary thought for the rest of the NBA that Kevin Durant will waltz into the new season with his confidence at an all-time high. In previous years, Durant would begin a campaign bitter after suffering one playoff exit after another during his stint with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but this time it’s different.

A new season kicks off with Durant strolling into the court sporting an arrogant smile while thumping his chest. We’re speaking figuratively of course, but it illustrates how big of an impact winning the championship has on Durant.
