Washington Wizards star All-Star point guard John Wall has continues to be one of the league's most productive players this season.

This hasn't exactly translated to the Wizards breaking through falling more toward the .500 mark in the first 35 games played. According to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post, Wall has noticed a growing trend in contests against teams that are below the .500 record line.

This is something that many teams and players around the league deal with, not just the Wizards. However, the fact that Wall has pointed it out means that it's played a major part in contributing to their sluggish start.

Granted, Wall has been out of the mix for 11 games this season that includes nine straight games due to a left knee injury that required an injection to treat inflammation in the area. During that stretch, the Wizards held a 4-5 record that has only contributed to their slow start.

Washington has been able to remain in the thick of the top records in the Eastern Conference being fifth with a 19-16 mark just a game behind the Detroit Pistons. There is still plenty of time for the Wizards to figure things out and make a serious push toward being a contender in the East come playoffs.
