The Big Ten tournament semifinals are set to take place on Saturday, with the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes squaring off. Ahead of Saturday's highly anticipated showdown, Michigan is currently labeled as favorites over Ohio State to advance in the Big Ten tournament.
As of this moment, Michigan is 6.5-point favorites over Ohio State to secure a spot in the Big Ten championship game. Michigan comes into Saturday's contest as the No. 4 overall ranked team in the nation as they boast an impressive 20-3 record.
Two of the Wolverines' three losses have come in the month of March, with those losses coming against the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Michigan State Spartans. But on Friday, Michigan was able to defeat Maryland to give themselves an opportunity to face Ohio State in the semifinals.

On the other hand, Ohio State holds a 20-8 record this season, which is good enough to make them the No. 9 overall ranked team in the country. The Buckeyes ended the regular season by losing four of their final five games. Nevertheless, they took down the Purdue Boilermakers to clinch them a spot in the Big Ten semifinals.
The Wolverines defeated Ohio State back on Feb. 21 in Columbus, 92-87. Freshman center Hunter Dickinson came up big in that game, scoring 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field to go with nine rebounds and a couple of blocks.
Whoever emerges victorious on Saturday between the Wolverines and the Buckeyes will face the winner of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Illinois in the other semifinals pairing. Regardless of who wins on Saturday, Michigan is favored to beat Ohio State for the second time this year, and the Big Ten championship game is poised to be a must-watch game.
