The UConn Huskies scored a major victory Tuesday night at home, as they beat the No. 8 Villanova Wildcats, 71-69, in a game that featured a thrilling ending. However, UConn head coach Dan Hurley was not able to finish the game on the sidelines after he got booted out of the game in the first half for merely trying to hype up the crowd in Hartford.
That doesn't matter anymore for Hurley. His boys got the win that improves UConn's March Madness resume that now features a 5-6 Quadrant 1 record. Hurley also did not mind hopping on Twitter following the game to express his emotions.

UConn's win also lifted the Huskies to solo third spot in the Big East standings, as the team now sports an 11-5 conference record. Hurley and the Huskies are now on a roll, having won all of their last four games. Their chances of extending that to five games are very likely, as they will next face the struggling Georgetown Hoyas of Patrick Ewing on the road this coming Sunday. (The Hoyas are winless in 15 games in the Big East.)
The Huskies are on pace to make a return to the Big Dance this year, which would be their second appearance in the Dan Hurley era. They made it to the national tournament in 2021 as a seventh seed but struck out of the first round.
