There has been plenty of movement across the league since the start of free agency, but several notable players are still on the open market looking to sign their next deal.

Among those players is veteran center Nerlens Noel. However, his situation is a bit sticky as he is a restricted free agent, which gives the Dallas Mavericks the final say on if they want to bring him back by matching any offer sheet he receives from another team.

According to Eddie Sefko of Sports Day, Noel's agent Happy Walters has voiced that his client is disappointed by the contract negotiation process with the Mavericks.

“We're very disappointed with where things stand,” Walters said. “Nerlens loves Dallas and spent June there working out, but we're still waiting on a serious offer.”

Prior to the start of free agency, it had been reported that multiple teams were interested in offering Noel a max deal of four years worth around $108.5 million. The Atlanta Hawks have been the only other NBA team to show any interest in signing the 23-year-old over the last couple of weeks.

Although Noel is still hoping to land a lucrative deal, it's ultimately out of his hands since he's a restricted free agent. It has been difficult with those offers not on the table at the moment, which gives the Mavericks the ability to dictate when they will conduct serious contract discussions with the former first-round pick.

Noel was originally acquired by the Mavericks from the Philadelphia 76ers prior to the February trade deadline this past regular season. He averaged 8.5 points on 57.5 percent shooting from the field, with 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. He played in 21 games, including 12 starts, with Dallas.
