The Brooklyn Nets are in complete chaos in the 2022 offseason. Their two biggest stars in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have both requested to be traded away from the team. It's a mighty fall from grace for a team that was billed as the top dog in the league prior to the start of last season.

Amid all the drama, one seemingly forgotten name on the Nets is Ben Simmons. The former Sixers star has not been involved in any of the trade rumors so far. By the looks of his moves on Instagram, though, it seems like Simmons doesn't want any part of drama surrounding his teammates. (via ClutchPoints)

Early this morning, several astute fans noted that Ben Simmons' Instagram account was nowhere to be found. In fact, as of the time of writing, the Nets star's IG is still deactivated. It's unclear why he did this, but many fans have started speculating on what this truly means.

Simmons was the last off-season's biggest storyline, when he was engaged in a months-long holdout with the Sixers. The star refused to play on the court, citing mental health issues and back problems. Eventually, Simmons was traded to the Nets, though he still hasn't suited up for them (even in the playoffs!).

It's going to be interesting what the Nets' next plans are going to be, and if it will involve Simmons in some capacity. Will he be the centerpiece of an imminent rebuild? Or will he also be moved to a contending team in exchange for more assets?
