The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade forward Darrell Arthur to the Phoenix Suns for Jared Dudley and a 2021 second-round pick, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Arthur, who is owed $7.4 million for this upcoming season will likely be bought out, while Dudley, who will make $9.5 million, will have that conversation with the Nets.

This will allow the Suns to save some salary, while the Nets get a pick protected to No. 35 out of this deal.

Arthur was acquired as part of a three-team trade with the Denver Nuggets and the Atlanta Hawks, viewed mostly as a disposable salary.

The Nets are once again stockpiling picks while shedding salaries from their books, something that could prove useful as they hit next year's free agent class with by far, the most cap space available.

Expect more salary dump moves to come in the near future, as teams position themselves for a huge wave of big-time free agents in 2019 — also aided by the expanding salary cap due to the collective bargaining agreement.
