Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has spent much of the offseason going scorched earth on his haters on social media. Wednesday was much of the same from KD, as the Nets star took some time to clap back at an age-old Colin Cowherd take. Of all the infamous Cowherd hot takes, this one is by far one of the funniest. Dating back to his ESPN Radio days, Cowherd gave his assessment of Durant ahead of the 2007 NBA Draft, criticizing the former Texas Longhorn for his lack of physical attributes and declaring he'd become a bust.

Cowherd blasted Durant for his inability to bench press 185 pounds at the NBA Combine. He boldly declared that Durant was the next coming of Antonio McDyess and even compared KD to Mike Dunleavy Jr., while claiming Greg Oden was a far superior prospect. Obviously, his predictions couldn't have been further from the truth.

Durant dug up the old video, courtesy of OldTakesExposed, and had a hilarious clap-back for Cowherd, asking whether or not he should take his victory lap now or wait until he's retired (and inducted into the Hall of Fame). There's really not much Cowherd can say here, other than own up to the fact that he may hold the title for one of the coldest takes ever.

We've reached the point in the offseason where Durant is searching up old takes from 15 years ago. Cowherd may have been hoping the world forgot about his absurdly bad assessment of KD, but the Nets star has brought the video right back to the forefront of the internet with his tweet.
