Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is one of the most active players on Twitter and this time the subject of concern is his “KD” moniker. Rapper Kash Doll used “KD” in her tweet to describe herself, which Durant responded to.

This is not the first time that Kevin Durant had an incident about his nicknames. Years ago, guitarist Mark Durante sued him for use of the “Durantula” name. The musician claimed that “Durantula” had already been trademarked.

Durant has and continues to have a long, illustrious career, as such he has collected a bunch of nicknames along the way. He was called a snake for leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder to win titles with the Golden State Warriors. “Slim Reaper” was bestowed on him by fans for his lanky frame and deadly, offensive game.

In a 2014 interview with Grantland's Bill Simmons, Kevin Durant said that he wanted to be called “The Servant.”

His explanation was, “I like to serve everybody. My teammates. Ushers at the game. The fans.”

From an on-court perspective, “The Servant” would be more apt for a team's primary playmaker and not exactly one of the best scorers we have ever seen, but it is one of the more interesting monikers around and certainly has an interesting backstory.

Kevin Durant was voted to another All-Star appearance, but due to his injury, Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis will take his spot. Durant is keeping his eyes on the prize – another championship win, but with a different team and city. Maybe he'll have another nickname if this happens?
