The NBA Summer League is a chance for young players to make their impression on their respective teams, with the hopes of making a big enough impact to warrant a roster spot in the upcoming season. It is also an opportunity for team general managers not only to scout players but also, to engage in some friendly conversations with executives from opposing teams. Well, it looks like this was exactly the case for Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks on Saturday.

Amid all the Nets trade rumors surrounding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Marks was spotted having discussions with Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri, as well as Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka. For an added bonus, ESPN's NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski was also seen in the mix (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Sean Marks, Ujiri, and Pelinka could all be seen with big smiles on their faces, and it didn't look like their discussions were overly serious. This looks more like friendly banter as opposed to high-ranking execs ironing out a blockbuster trade or two.

Nevertheless, these sightings are definitely still worth talking about. The Raptors have emerged as a potential destination for Kevin Durant, who himself has requested a trade out of Brooklyn. The Lakers, on the other hand, have been heavily linked to a swoop for Kyrie Irving. Even if no trade discussions were had during these seemingly innocent meetings, it's still quite intriguing to see all three team executives (and Woj, of course) exchanging pleasantries at such a curious time.
