Kevin Durant was involved in headlines on Thursday after Kyrie Irving—his running mate on the Brooklyn Nets—made some interesting remarks that pertained to Durant. Just a day after Irving's controversial comments, Durant listed his top five MVP seasons of all time.

In an interesting piece in The Players' Tribune, former NBA small forward Dorell Wright spoke to Durant about multiple topics. During the conversation between the two, Wright asked Durant to name his personal top five MVP performances in NBA history.

The 10-time All-Star would proceed to say that Michael Jordan's 1988 and 1998 seasons were in his personal favorite MVP campaigns. In addition to Jordan's two MVP seasons, Durant would utter that Hakeem Olajuwon's 1994 season, LeBron James' 2010 season, and Kobe Bryant's 2008 season were also impressive MVP showings.

Of course, Durant himself won the NBA's MVP award in 2013-14 when he was still with the Oklahoma City Thunder. While leading the NBA in scoring with 32 points per game, Durant also averaged 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists that season.

Given that, it's a bit surprising that the two-time NBA champion refrained from putting his own name on the list. Nevertheless, it was noteworthy to see Durant say that James' 2010 MVP season made the cut.

Back in 2009-10, James was playing in his final season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game. Then, just a year later, James would join the Miami Heat, winning two championships alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

While James is now playing in his 10th NBA Finals series of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Irving made some comments that could be directed toward James. On the other hand, Kevin Durant is giving James his props for his efforts throughout his illustrious career.
