Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant recently cleared the air about his honest take on his team continuing on without the services of Kyrie Irving.

After another tough loss at home, this time against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, the former MVP revealed that it's definitely been challenging not having their primary court general out there as Irving continues to miss time due to the whole COVID-19 vaccine fiasco.

“I know what you want me to say,” Durant responded when asked what the Nets are missing this season (via Nets Videos). “Yeah we do miss Kyrie, we do. He's a part of our team,”

Despite another electric performance from the 11-time NBA All-Star dropping 25 points and 11 boards to lead the Nets, Brooklyn couldn't keep up with the physical Heat team as they dropped their third loss in five outings this season with a 106-93 loss at home.

After being the favorites to win it all this season, the Nets seem to have stumbled upon hurdle after hurdle with Kyrie Irving's absence still being the focal point. Obviously, with another former MVP in James Harden in the lineup, the Nets are still quite a contender on paper. Unfortunately, Harden has been going some major adjustments as of late which leaves Durant with the lone responsibility of carrying the load for Brooklyn.

For now, KD has no choice but to soldier on and keep putting this franchise on his back – with or without Kyrie Irving.
