It's been two days since Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant requested a trade. It's shaken up the entire NBA and countless teams are looking to put together enticing enough packages to acquire the future Hall of Famer.

Well, KD has now broken his silence, taking to Twitter to clarify the truth about many people claiming he's a bad teammate for jumping ship for the third time:

The Nets forward said every single teammate who's been in the lab with him knows the type of player and leader he is, despite the rumors. The New York Post was the most notable media outlet to put him on blast, saying  “Thin Man Has No Heart” on Friday. Absolutely savage.

It's definitely a drastic turn of events that Durant is seeking a trade after Kyrie Irving just opted into his player option on Monday. But, KD clearly believes the Nets don't have what it takes to win a title therefore he's looking to take his talents elsewhere. Irving is likely a goner too, with the Los Angeles Lakers emerging as the frontrunner to pull off a trade for him.

As for Durant, he's listed the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat as his top two destinations. Yes, the first-place teams from the West and East in 2021-22. The Nets will be looking for an absolute haul in return for their franchise cornerstone and there is little doubt they'll be able to acquire a ton of assets because it's not every day one of the best players ever becomes available.

It's a shame Kevin Durant couldn't lead Brooklyn to a championship, but the whole Big 3 experience just never worked out.
