At this point in the offseason, Kevin Durant is still a member of the Brooklyn Nets. For all we know, he could start the season with the same team, despite his highly-publicized desire to jump ship.

Be that as it may, this obviously hasn't stopped the analysts from talking about potential trade destinations for KD. The Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns are considered by many as the top potential landing spots for Durant, but in the mind of Chris ā€œMad Dogā€ Russo, he believes that the New Orleans Pelicans should be thrown into the mix as well:

ā€œThe team that I could see where [Durant] would be somewhat reasonable about going there, and the Nets could get a big player back and build their team around, and it's out of the conference, which I think is a factor, are the Pelicans,ā€ Russo said on ESPN's First Take. ā€œBecause they can get Ingram back and they can build their team around Ingram. ā€¦ You put Durant on that team with a healthy Zion, that team could be very dangerous.ā€

Russo did provide a couple of caveats in this sensational trade theory by saying that he's unsure if the cap situation will work. The renowned broadcaster also made it clear that he is uncertain if Kevin Durant is even willing to go to New Orleans. However, Russo believes that this could be a win-win situation for both the Pelicans and the Nets, who for their part, will get Brandon Ingram as part of the swap deal.

Kevin Durant and Zion Williamson on the same team? Now that would be quite a treat.
