Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving went on an epic rant on Instagram after seeing and hearing Boston Celtics fans boo him at TD Garden even if he was not there.

Kyrie remains sidelined for Brooklyn due to a shoulder injury. However, despite his absence, fans of the Beantown team chanted “Kyrie sucks” during the Celtics-Nets game.

Boston went on to win 121-110, with Kyrie's replacement Kemba Walker leading the charge for the Celtics with 39 points, six rebounds and four assists.

After the game though, Kyrie did not hold back and took it to his IG stories to criticize the treatment of fans to players in general. Irving highlighted that the game should be used to show love instead of highlighting the drama that is not really significant besides entertaining people and providing content for the media.

Irving had a messy divorce with the Celtics after what could be described as a messy 2018-19 season. He initially promised to re-sign with the team earlier in the year, but as the season progressed, the All-Star guard became disengaged with the team and ultimately chose to leave in free agency.

Kyrie returned home to team up with his close pals Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan. Nonetheless, while Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, team president Danny Ainge and the rest of the Boston players respect his decision, the same cannot be said of the fan base.

Boston fans are known to be one of the most passionate supporters in the NBA, so their reaction was undoubtedly expected. Still, it's hard to blame Kyrie for feeling bad given the constant criticisms and personal issues he has to endure over the years.
