Kyrie Irving has been ruled out of the Brooklyn Nets' next three games due to the shoulder injury that has kept him sidelined for the past four contests.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Kyrie will miss the Nets' upcoming road trip against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.

It's interesting to note the three games Kyrie will be missing, considering the history he has with the Cavs, Celtics and Knicks. It would have been an interesting sight to see him play all of these games.

The Celtics clearly have the most animosity towards Irving at the moment. His two-year stint with the C's wasn't a stroll down the garden, and there were bridges that were burnt in the process. Even team legend Paul Pierce believes that the man would have gotten a lot of boos from mad Celtics fans.

“This has never happened, a player of his caliber saying ‘I’ll be back’ and then leaving,” Pierce said, via Boston.com's Conor Roche. “This has never happened. When does that happen with a player of his caliber? It’s never happened. He deserves [to be booed].”

The 27-year-old won his first (and so far) only NBA championship with the Cavs when they upset a 73-win Golden State team. The Land will always have a special place for him. Meanwhile, the Knicks got burned by Irving after heading to the Barclays Center instead of the Madison Square Garden.

The Nets will surely miss his production. He's averaging 28.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists with 44-34-94 shooting splits.
