Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving voiced his displeasure on Instagram a few weeks back about his upcoming shoe from Nike, the Kyrie 8's. He claimed the company didn't involve him in the making of the new sneaker and we can see why. Here's a first look.

Alright, let's be honest. These are pretty trash for a basketball kick. The tongue is far too bulky and they look super heavy. We now understand why the Nets guard was not a fan.

It seems odd that Nike wouldn't consult with Irving before creating this shoe. After all, he's helped the company sell a lot of footwear over the years. Kyrie signed with Nike in 2011 after he was selected first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the draft. In 2014, his first sneaker debuted.

It seems unlikely Nike would be able to scrap the shoe at this point, but it would probably be smart to inform the Nets star before making their next one. After all, they've had a lot of success with his line. The Kyrie 7's were a huge hit.

Hopefully, the two parties can repair their relationship and get back on healthy terms. But, clearly, Irving is not happy with how Nike has handled this situation.
