The rumor that Blake Griffin is washed up and cannot dunk has to be put asleep. Against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets forward unleashed an impressive putback dunk which showcased his strength and impeccable timing.

Peep Griffin's dunk below to see and believe. Little by little, the doubters are hushing up. Griffin still has a ton of athleticism left in him. He wasn't picked up by the Nets just to fill in the roster. While James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant will still be the ones carrying the offensive chores, don't be surprised if Griffin puts up good numbers.

Entering the 2020-21 NBA season, the Nets were already the favorites to represent the East in the NBA Finals or maybe even win it all. In case you forgot, the Nets only had Irving, Durant, and a pretty solid core then.

And over the course of the season, the Nets managed to snag James Harden — arguably one of the best players in NBA history to form that dreaded big three. Yes, they did give up some of their core players like Jarrett Allen. But out of nowhere, they got Griffin and recently, they got another future Hall of Famer in LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Nets are indeed one heck of a monster squad. Let's see if they can win that elusive Larry O'Brien trophy.
