The Brooklyn Nets are continuing to make early moves this summer as they shape up their roster for next season. Following the acquisition of D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov from the Los Angeles Lakers last week, it has been reported that they have picked up their team options on Sean Kilpatrick and Joe Harris, to have both remain with them for another year.

Their decision was made easier by the team-friendly salary that they have, as they are both slated to receive $1.5 million next year.

When Jeremy Lin got hurt back in November, Kilpatrick received increased playing time from head coach Kenny Atkinson. He took the challenge head on and produced impressive numbers of 13.1 points to go along with career highs of 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.1 minutes per game.

Harris, on the other hand, had his best season as a pro with averages of 8.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 21.9 minutes per game. After his two-year stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he mostly rode the bench, he has shown what he's capable of and rewarded the Nets for the trust they have given him.

The two can be expected to have an even better campaign starting in October as the Nets will try to improve on their dismal record this past season. It will also be their chance to secure a more lucrative contract, once their current deals are done.
