Despite some early-season optimism following an extremely busy offseason, the New York Knicks find themselves with a record of 16-19 after Wednesday night’s 105-104 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Change may be needed and Knicks team president Phil Jackson could be open to it, per Ian Begley of ESPN.

New York will have to decide if they want to re-sign former MVP Derrick Rose as a free agent this summer, or offer him an extension before he becomes available. Another point guard that will be available in free agency is Jrue Holiday of the New Orleans Pelicans, who has enjoyed a strong season so far.

Jackson has previously expressed interest in Holiday and is expected to at least consider the 26-year-old when he comes into the market, according to sources. Some believe that Jackson may even quicken the process by making a trade for Holiday, in an attempt to turn their season around.

Some big decisions need to be made in The Big Apple.
