Wide receivers Josh Gordon and Martavis Bryant could both be reinstated by the NFL in May, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

Both wideouts were suspended indefinitely by the league for violating terms of their conditional reinstatements under the NFL drug policy, with both Gordon and Bryant receiving suspensions in December.

Gordon began the 2018 campaign with the Cleveland Browns before being traded to the New England Patriots after just one game. In 12 games overall, Gordon hauled in 41 receptions for 737 yards and four touchdowns and had developed into one of the most consistent threats in the Patriots' passing game before he stepped away from the game in following the New England's Dec. 16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was later revealed that Gordon had violated the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the league's drug policy and had been suspended indefinitely, marking yet another ban in a long line of them for Gordon since he entered the NFL in 2012.

Bryant played in eight games for the Oakland Raiders this past season, catching 19 passes for 266 yards. He was then placed on the injured reserve list on Dec. 5 due to a knee injury, and nine days later, he was suspended by the NFL for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement, much like Gordon.

Bryant had originally been suspended for the entire 2016 campaign while with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was conditionally reinstated in 2017 and played out the season with the Steelers in spite of asking for a trade. He was then traded to the Raiders in April 2018.
