A number of NFL personnel appeared in a public service announcement on Twitter on Thursday morning.

Houston Texans stars Laremy Tunsil and Deshaun Watson appeared in the PSA, as did the Griffin brothers of the Seattle Seahawks.

New Orleans Saints star defensive end Cam Jordan and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll also made cameos.

The message is simple: get out the vote.

As is noted in the video, just 60 percent of the American electorate actually exercised the right to vote during the 2016 presidential election. The PSA includes a link to vote.org, where citizens can register to vote in the upcoming general election this fall.

The players and Carroll trade barbs about how lackluster this sounds in comparison to professional sports, with Carroll saying he “only” tries to win 60 percent of his games.

This is something of a surprising move for the NFL, which has typically strayed away from politically-oriented commentary.
