Earlier this week, it was reported that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry and other Browns players yelled “come get me” toward the Arizona Cardinals sideline following Cleveland's Week 15 loss to the Cardinals.

However, Landry denies that ever happened, saying that the accusation bothers him, according to Nate Ulrich of The Akron Beacon-Journal.

That marked the second straight week that a rumor surfaced about a Browns player was accused of saying “come get me” to an opponent, as it reported the preceding week that fellow wide out Odell Beckham Jr. had been telling teams that throughout the season.

Of course, even if Landry did say that, he is almost surely not going to admit it, so who knows what is really going on.

One thing everyone can agree on, however, is that the 2019 campaign has been an unmitigated disaster for Cleveland.

Following an offseason in which the Browns landed talents like Beckham and running back Kareem Hunt, as well as numerous pieces on the defensive side of the ball, many had Cleveland pegged as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Instead, the Browns are entering Week 16 with a record of 6-8 and with their playoff hopes all but gone.

Cleveland began the season on the wrong end of a 43-13 blowout at the hands of the Tennessee Titans and proceeded to go 2-6 over its first eight games.

The Browns then won three straight to work their way back into playoff contention, but they have gone 1-2 since, essentially putting their postseason hopes on ice.
