The Indianapolis Colt dropped their 11th game of the season in a disappointing 25-13 loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.

It has been a forgettable season for the Colts, which has put the team an inch closer to tying an embarrassing league record, according to Zak Keefer of the Indy Star.

Nine times this season they’ve taken a lead into halftime, a remarkable feat considering how bad this football team is. And seven times they’ve blown it, lost that lead and lost the ballgame.

That’s one blown lead away from tying the NFL record.

Despite not having the services of Pro Bowl quarterback Andrew Luck for the entire season, Indianapolis has been quietly competitive. Jacoby Brissett has provided some much-needed stability at the position, but hasn't exactly been the game-changing talent that can take them over the top.

The fact that the Colts have been able to stay close in games should be an encouraging sign in spite of how the season has progressively unfolded. It also goes to show how much value and importance that Luck has to the franchise's success.

There is also a subtle dosage that the organization needs to restructure the roster in order to not be solely dependent on their star quarterback being the only source of finding success through. This could all set the table for an offseason of much change in Indianapolis.
