The Indianapolis Colts are one of the most notable teams to be ravaged by COVID-19 issues, including quarterback Carson Wentz. The new gun-slinger was just activated off the list on Thursday, although questions still remain about the protocols with the regular season right around the corner.
One Colts player who also isn't vaccinated is defensive star Darius Leonard, who just inked a huge contract to stay in Indianapolis. Well, Leonard offered his reasoning for not being vaccinated, according to Jim Ayello of the Indy Star.
Colts Pro Bowl LB Darius Leonard says he hasn’t been vaccinated because he wants to learn more about it. Needs more information about long-term effects it can have. Says he talks to vaccinated teammates about it all the time.

There it is for those who have been wondering why Leonard hasn't received the vaccine with the regular season approaching rapidly. With the NFL's new protocols, unvaccinated players are highly at a disadvantage when it comes to testing to quarantine time.
Nonetheless, Leonard wasn't wavering in his belief to learn more, and it remains to be seen when–or if–he takes the vaccine. As far as the Colts quarterback goes, his feelings are a bit different than Leonard's.
Carson Wentz said his feelings about the vaccine are fluid.
Declines to specify his reason as to why he hasn’t received the vaccine but says it’s a family decision.

With the NFL season almost here, it should be very interesting to see the fallout of players that aren't receiving the vaccine. In fact, Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill mentioned that he received the vaccine in part because of the NFL's protocols, and surely he won't be the last one to do so.
