Following a disappointing 2017 season, wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has his eyes set on bouncing back in a major way in his first campaign with the New York Jets after inking a one-year deal earlier this offseason.
However, there has been much uncertainty surrounding what he will be able to bring to the field after dealing with a nagging ankle injury that required a second surgery this offseason. According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, the Jets are counting on Pryor to recapture his high of production in 2018.

But Pryor underwent a second surgery on his ankle in the spring and missed organized team activities and the minicamp. He wore a walking boot much of that time, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
It was nothing short of a discouraging 2017 campaign in his lone year with the Washington Redskins, as he struggled while recording just 20 catches for 240 receiving yards and a touchdown in nine games. He was unable to make a consistent impact fitting into the mix of the passing game while a nagging injury led to him requiring season-ending ankle surgery.
Pryor's production was a shadow of what he brought to the table in the 2016 season with the Cleveland Browns in his first full year playing at the wide receiver position, where he recorded 77 catches for 1,007 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He brought forth plenty of promise for what he could do as a full-time wideout after spending the early portion of his career at quarterback.
The Jets are hoping that he can recapture that form alongside the likes of Jermaine Kearse and Robbie Anderson to help give the franchise a formidable passing game. Only time will tell if he can step back into that prominent role in 2018.
