The Washington Redskins and the New York Jets will meet up next week for three joint practices before a preseason game, and the Redskins have made their feelings on former teammate Terrelle Pryor very clear.

Last month, Redskins linebacker Zach Brown said the defense didn't like the way Pryor handled himself during camp last year. Pryor made a lot of showy catches, and Jay Gruden wouldn't allow the defense to hit him.

“The boys are going to have it out for him,” Brown told NBC Sports Washington via NewsDay. “We can put hands on him now … Jay ain’t here to protect you anymore.”

Pryor isn't concerned about cheap shots at this point, saying it's a bridge that they will cross if it happens. Right now he is working on getting healthy and doing anything to help the Jets.

“If they take dirty shots, I’m sure we’ll handle it accordingly,” said Pryor. “It is what it is. We’re there to practice, get better. If I wanted to put my shoulder down and hit one of them and be chippy, too, I’m sure I could do that. But that’s not why we’re there … When you start trying to make it an individual thing, it takes away from our team and you know us, as Jets, we’re trying to go on this upward [trajectory] as a whole.”

If there are some cheap shots made by the Redskins, there is no question that Pryor's new teammates will step in and make sure the Redskins know they are not appreciated.
