The New York Jets have positioned themselves in a unique spot to bring in one of the quarterbacks in this year's draft after moving up to the third overall pick last month. The front office has continued to do its work on assessing the top crop of players that will be available at the position.
There are a few players that the team has been linked to since being able to move up in the draft order a few weeks ago. However, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News is reporting that the Jets have yet to hone in on one quarterback as their preferred choice.

Shortly after Gang Green traded with the Colts to jump up to the No. 3 spot a couple weeks ago, I touched base with folks on One Jets Drive to get a better handle on the motivation behind the deal.
There was initially talk that the reason that New York had moved up was to take Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield with the selection. However, there is still some indecisiveness given that the team could wind up choosing between USC's Sam Darnold or UCLA's Josh Rosen as recent reports suggest that the Cleveland Browns may be leaning toward taking Wyoming's Josh Allen.
In truth, it may continue to be a fluid situation as the two teams ahead of them in the draft order in the Browns and New York Giants have also yet to zero in on their choices. All of this leaves plenty of scenarios on the table for the Jets at their selection later this month.
There is still plenty of time for the Jets to make a sound decision over the next couple of weeks ahead of the draft. It may all just depend on what quarterback is available when they are on the clock.
