Josh Gordon finally made his return to the NFL after being reinstated, signing with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. It's a long time coming for the former All-Pro, who hasn't played in the league since 2019.

The next question is, when could we see Flash in a Chiefs uniform? Head coach Andy Reid gave an update on his status ahead of Week 4. Via Adam Teicher:

To be fair, that totally stands to reason. He's two years removed from his last NFL appearance. It will certainly take time for Gordon to get ready. But, he could certainly turn out to be a great signing for the Chiefs, who haven't received much production from their receiving corps this season. Other than Tyreek Hill, the likes of Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, and Byron Pringle have been relatively inconsistent.

The hope is that Gordon can come in and be an impactful target for Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. KC is still reeling from the loss of Sammy Watkins as well. If Gordon can produce alongside Travis Kelce and Hill, it could give Reid a solid receiving trio.

Gordon was suspended indefinitely by the league in December of 2019 after violating the substance abuse policy. Unfortunately, it was his sixth suspension since the 2013 season. But, the new Chiefs wideout sent a reinstatement letter to commissioner Roger Goodell, who approved it on Monday.

It will be interesting to see what Josh Gordon can do with KC.
