It turned out to be quite a surprising start to the 2017 season with Kansas City Chiefs topping the defending champion New England Patriots on Thursday night.

There were several big plays that shifted the game in the Chiefs' favor that included a 75-yard touchdown reception from second-year wideout Tyreek Hill. Following the game, Hill revealed to Matt McMullen of Chiefs.com that he was one who made the play call for his first touchdown of the season.

“Well I give it up to Alex and the receivers, that doesn’t happen a lot to this team – to the Patriots – so it’s a tribute to the guys for making it happen,” Reid said. “Actually, Tyreek called the one that he ended up scoring on. He goes, ‘I think I can get him on this one,’ so we called it and he got him.”

It turned out to be the correct call from the get go as Hill blew past the defensive back that was playing zone coverage while safety Devin McCourty was too late to react to the situation that only allowed for the 23-year-old to use his speed to go untouched into the end zone.

The touchdown made Hill the first player in league history to have a play of at least 60 yards in five straight regular season games dating back to last season. It was a major part of his strong performance that saw him make seven catches for 133 receiving yards with a touchdown in the win.

Hill will remain a big part of the Chiefs' offensive game plan this season due to his ability to make explosive plays like this on a daily basis that could lead to another highly productive campaign.
