Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen entered this season as one of the top Fantasy Football wide receivers available. He was being mentioned with names like Julio Jones, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and plenty of other guys as potential team carrying options. Unfortunately, that has not been the case so far this year.
Thielen has been held in check all season long. His best game came against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 when he had five catches for 75 yards. He has had two games with a touchdown this year, but just has not been the 20-point scorer that many were expecting him to be.
On the season, Thielen has caught 13 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Some Fantasy Football players are beginning to worry about whether or not he can turn things around.
Quite simply, this week is going to be the week that we see a massive game from Thielen. There are plenty of reasons to believe this to be the case.
First and foremost, Thielen is going to see his number of targets raised. He made a scathing comment about Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins after the team's loss to the Chicago Bears last week. Cousins has issued him an apology and will be looking to get him much more involved this week.

The Vikings are going to be aiming to prove a point this week. Doing so against the Giants will be much easier than they have had the past few weeks.
Everything lines up to Thielen having a big-time performance in Week 5. For those who are losing faith in him, hold on just a bit longer. Cousins and Thielen have reason to get each other going and that is exactly what will happen this week.
Expect to see Thielen play like the WR1 that he was all of last season. If you have him on your roster, he is going to make you happy for the first time this season.
