Brady has proven it once again that he is still playing at an elite level despite all this chatter surrounding the condition of his thumb that was a bit rattled up during this week of practice. He was at his best when his team needed him most leading two scoring drives in the fourth quarter that resulted in a pair of touchdown passes to veteran wide receiver Danny Amendola, who had seven catches for 84 receiving yards.

The 40-year-old never seemed to be out of sorts even with his team trailing for much of the game as he continued to chip away at the deficit leading up to the fourth quarter. He orchestrated a pair of crucial drives that included converting a 3rd-and-18 situation on a pass to Amendola on the first touchdown drive. He had a highly efficient passing performance completing 26-of-38 passes for 290 yards with a pair of touchdowns and no interceptions while holding a 108.4 passer rating.

Brady will now play in his eighth Super Bowl with a shot for his sixth win on that stage in his illustrious career waiting to face either the Minnesota Vikings or Philadelphia Eagles. It is a chance for him to build on his already first-ballot Hall of Fame career and further solidify his argument as being the greatest quarterback that the league has ever seen.
