Former NFL quarterback turned analyst David Carr made headlines recently when he left Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out of his list of the 10 best QBs in the league. As Carr explains, Big Ben is merely benefitting from the talents of Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell at this stage in his career.
Brown begs to differ, though. The Steelers wideout went on Twitter and posted his own top 10 QBs “ranking” in response to Carr. It shouldn’t come as a surprise who went No. 1 on his list.
Top NFL QBs Ranked

Leave it to Brown to have his quarterback’s back. While Big Ben may have his detractors, he’s still one heck of a quarterback and remains incredibly important to the Steelers. As good as Brown and Bell are, even they will struggle to make someone like Landry Jones look good if Big Ben is missing.
The fact that Roethlisberger will likely put off his retirement for at least a couple more years is huge for Pittsburgh. Even if he’s not at the same level he was a few years ago, he still gives them the best chance to win another Super Bowl. And as Brown alluded to, the margins separating the very best quarterbacks are so slim that it’s almost impossible to accurately rank them.
No matter what others may say, Brown and the Steelers are sticking with Big Ben. He may not be in some people’s top 10 lists, he remains integral to the Steelers’ chances of being among the top teams in the league this season, which is the real rankings that matter.
