Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a shaky performance in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. Big Ben completed 23 of 41 passing attempts for 335 yards and a score, but had three interceptions in the game and also fumbled twice.
However, Roethlisberger doesn't attribute his very sloppy five-turnover performance to rust after being limited in the preseason. He elaborated on his thought process during one of his faulty throw where he tried to force feed Antonio Brown in triple-coverage, after the game.

That one maybe just having a feel of game speed stuff compared to practice, potentially,” said Roethlisberger in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Big Ben only played in one of the team's preseason games before sitting out until the regular season. The Steelers clearly want to protect a valued asset like Roethlisberger, but their extreme caution might be detrimental to their early season success.
Roethlisberger chalked up his other two picks to lack of practice and weather conditions. Even if the weather affected his last throw, which was bobbled by tight end Jesse James, the Steelers will need to talk about corrections that can be made to fix the other two. Big Ben should be under less pressure in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers, who will likely be without their top pass rusher, Joey Bosa.
