Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has two years left on his contract and has made it clear he still has some good years of football left in his body. Roethlisberger isn't concerned about getting an extension right now and is okay with letting his contract play out and then having the team decide what they want to do next, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“It hasn’t even been a thought. If they’ve talked to … my representatives, I don’t know about it. I’ve got this year and next year. So I’m not worried about it. I’ve played long enough that I don’t need to sit here and worry about the next one. I’ll just play this season and let them figure out what they want to do.”

The Steelers drafted Mason Rudolph out of Oklahoma State, and there is some talk about he being the replacement for Big Ben at some point. There is a chance that after two years the Steelers could decide that they are ready to move on to Rudolph and that is why they are waiting. Pittsburgh could also be waiting to see how well his body holds up over the next two years to see if they think he can play any longer.

Roethlisberger has also made it clear that he isn't after individual success, at this point of his career it's all about wins and losses.

“For someone like me who has played this long, it doesn’t matter how well you play, it’s the win and loss. I’ve long said I could have the best game of my life and lose and it doesn’t mean anything. Winning and losing is all that matters to me.”
