Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden apparently doesn't care what the data looks like. He only cares if his team manages to leave games with a victory.

Hooray, illogical thinking that could mask giant issues for a National Football League franchise!

“It’s always really pretty when you win,” Gruden said, via the Washington Post. “It doesn’t matter statistically or what happened.”

To be fair to Jay Gruden, he was just living in the moment. There's almost no way he actually believes this. It isn't like, with each win, he tosses out all the data acquired from the game just because the Redskins came out victorious.

Also worth noting, since Washington didn't exactly play well in the win, this is probably the best way he could send his players home for Turkey Day. It isn't like he could sit there and rip his guys, then tell them to have a great Thanksgiving with the family or anything.

Then again, it isn't as if there was a lot of Thanksgiving left for the team to celebrate.

By the time Washington defeated New York, the Redskins overcame six sacks.

But wait, there was more.

Washington had issues getting plays off in time and it took an interception return for a touchdown to beat the offensively inept Giants 20-10.

This woeful game featured 16 punts and only 24 first downs.

Maybe Jay Gruden doesn't care about the numbers, but my brain really cares about being entertained. It was not when those two teams barely played football on Thursday.
