The San Francisco 49ers have been the talk of the NFL recently for the drama involving star wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Samuel, who requested a trade, is a cornerstone of the 49ers' offensive attack, which is why the franchise hasn't even thought about dealing him. However, Samuel isn't the only cornerstone on the roster. Star defensive end Nick Bosa, who has made two Pro Bowls in three seasons, is equally important to the San Francisco defense. Speaking to reporters on Monday, 49ers general manager John Lynch made an eye-opening declaration on Bosa's future in San Francisco, as reported by Aaron Wilson.
John Lynch said 49ers exercised fifth-year option for Nick Bosa and plans to sign him to a long-term deal eventually. "It's all good there," he said.

Per Wilson, Lynch said that the 49ers have exercised the fifth-year option on Bosa's contract. The executive also elaborated that the franchise plans to sign Bosa to a long-term deal eventually, saying that “it's all good there.”
Bosa, who is coming off of a career-high 15.5-sack season, will be paid $17.8 million in 2022. Clearly, the stud defender's contract situation hasn't taken a wrong turn the way that Samuel's has.
However, it would behoove the 49ers to make sure that it doesn't, as Bosa, who plays a more highly coveted position than Samuel, would be a massive loss for the organization were he to ever depart for whatever reason.
For now, the 49ers won't have to worry about that.
