The Minnesota Vikings are one of the hottest in the NFL after Week 10 with Mike Zimmer's squad having won five straight games. Not only are the Vikings cruising through the regular season thus far with an NFC North division-leading 7-2 record, but they're doing it with a backup quarterback, Case Keenum, leading the way and a healthy Teddy Bridgewater waiting on the sidelines.
Zimmer is in a tough position as Bridgewater has worked his way back from injury and is considered to be the future of the position in Minnesota while Keenum hasn't shown much of a reason to bench him. That being said, the Minnesota head coach has yet to name a starter, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com.
#Vikings coach Mike Zimmer says he hasn’t sat down and talked with everyone about starting QB yet. Won’t say if Case Keenum is the starter but said he played great overall (minus two bad INTs) vs. #Redskins.

With the Vikings currently cruising, there's no real rush to get Bridgewater back on the field. Zimmer could just play things out with Keenum until he feels the need to make the switch at quarterback which will undoubtedly be inevitable.
Article Continues BelowKeenum is coming off arguably his best game for the Vikings as he threw for 308 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. Although the interceptions were a bit cringeworthy, Keenum continued to show poise under center and a reliable option for Zimmer moving forward.
Ironically enough, in Week 11 Minnesota will host Keenum's former team in the Los Angeles Rams. Keenum was in a similar situation in Los Angeles in terms of a quarterback controversy between him and then-rookie Jared Goff.
It'll be interesting to see if Zimmer ultimately decides to make the switch before the game or continues to wait until Keenum gives him a legitimate to go to Bridgewater.
