With Teddy Bridgewater back healthy for the Minnesota Vikings many people will wonder about the future of Case Keenum. For good reason too, as the veteran gunslinger has played relatively well while the Vikings have continued to play hot potato — due to injury — at the QB position for the last several seasons.

The good news here, at least if you think Keenum brings value to the organization, is that he isn't really concerned with what could happen with his playing time. He prefers to remain with the Vikings.

“I love it here,” Keenum told PFT by phone after Sunday’s 38-30 win over Washington. “I love these guys. My wife and I love it here.”

As for worrying about things he can't control? He doesn't.

“Every situation has prepared me for the next situation,” he said.

What can potentially be interesting with the Vikings is that Bridgewater's health is still a bit of a concern. Moreover, no one is yet sure what kind of QB he was anyway, and if he can ever return to the form he had prior to seeing his leg get snapped nearly in half.

It would be wise of Minnesota to make sure there's depth at the position, even if the Vikings believe Bridgewater is the future — or even the now — of the franchise.

Minnesota has a lot of talent on both sides of the football. It would be a real shame if health or a lack of depth at quarterback hurt the franchise for the next few seasons.
