Pavel Francouz has proved that he is worthy of his fairly high contract valuation. He won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022, which helps out any team's goalie corps in their hopes of notching a title in the NHL. While Alexandar Georgiev remains the starting goalie with Ivan Prosvetov as a serviceable backup, this team will miss Francouz.
Pavel Francouz is out for the season, per Peter Baugh of The Athletic. He suffered an unfortunate lower body injury which cost him his 2023-24 stint with the Avalanche. Ivan Prosvetov is also a fairly decent second option for the Avalanche. He stopped 12 attempts at the goal with a .857 save percentage. All of this still resulted in a loss. But, the progress in trying to patch up the loss brought by the injury is already there. Will they be able to keep their hopes up and make a run eventually?
