Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas made a unique vow to his fans on Wednesday afternoon. In a tweet, the former Washington Husky noted that he would sign any merchandise that fans send to the Pepsi Center:

Thomas, who is currently sidelined due to a hip injury, tries to interact with his fans as much as possible. This oath, however, takes the proverbial cake.

Currently, there is no official timetable for Thomas' return. However, a report from Mike Singer of The Denver Post indicates that Thomas could be ready for action by the end of this month.

Thomas has played for several teams over the course of his career in the NBA, including the Sacramento Kings, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. All along the way, the 5-9 dynamo has made it a point to prove his doubters wrong.

Nowadays, Thomas is in Denver, where he has become a leader in the Nuggets' locker room.

“To have his voice in our locker room, to help some of these younger guys out, it takes a lot of load off myself,” Paul Millsap said.

Though he has been sidelined for quite a while, Thomas is still confident in his capabilities.

“I score the ball with the best of them,” Thomas said. “I know when I’m healthy it’s going to be hard to take me off the floor.”

The Nuggets (21-11 and first in the Northwest Division standings) will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll welcome the San Antonio Spurs to town. Tip-off inside the Pepsi Center is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.
