Jamal Murray's absence was bad enough for the Denver Nuggets when it was believed he would miss a big chunk of the season. He ended up missing all of it as he recovered from his ACL tear. Without him, never had little chance to advance in the NBA playoffs and lost in five games to the Golden State Warriors.

Murray worked hard to get back onto the court and was targeting a return date before the postseason. He practiced with the team as he looked to finally make his return.

After the Nuggets' elimination from the playoffs, Murray discussed his rehab. He discussed that there are ups and downs to the process.

Last season, Murray averaged a career-high 21.2 points and 47.7 percent shooting along with 4.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. He was dying to play with the Nuggets as they looked to break through to the NBA Finals. Unfortunately for all of Denver, Murray's injury kept him out.

Murray's phenomenal play in the postseason was huge for the Nuggets in the prior two seasons. His chemistry with Jokic is fantastic, as both players help each other out on offense. Replacing that connection proved to be impossible for Denver.

The Jamal Murray injury sunk the Nuggets' chances at competing for a title this season. With another offseason ahead to get ready, Murray should be able to get back to the court in time for next season. With a few other roster tweaks, the Nuggets could finally capture their potential.
